Consultation in place for admissions to the school in 2027/28

As required by the School Admission Code, South Moreton Primary School has initiated a consultation period on the Admissions Policy for 2027/2028 which will run from Wednesday 1st October until Wednesday 12th November.

The school is consulting on a proposed reduction in the Published Admissions Number (PAN) from 25 Reception places to 15. This is to enable the School to ensure efficient use of resources whilst still meeting demand for places.

This consultation is to comply with our statutory requirements to consult on reduction to the Published Admissions Number (PAN).  There are no changes to our admissions criteria or catchment area and comments are not sought on other areas of the policy.

In order to transition to the new proposal, the school will submit a variation request to cover the year 2026/27. This does not form part of the consultation process.

The Draft Admissions Policy 2027/28 for consultation is here

Any comments on the draft policy should be emailed to the School Office at office.2566@south-moreton.oxon.sch.uk

Consultation on current admissions arrangements

As required by the School Admission Code, the Governors of South Moreton Primary School held a consultation period on the Admissions Policy for 2025/2026.

This consultation is to comply with our statutory requirements to consult at least every seven years.  There are no substantive changes to either our admissions criteria, catchment area or PAN.
